We have been involved in Internet Marketing for one and a half years now and I felt I
would let you get to know me better by adding some personal information about myself
to let you know why we started our own online business and where we are today.
Both my husband and I were born and raised in England, and after approximately 15
years working for other people we decided to go self-employed. We spent many
years working In bricks and mortar businesses. Our main business was as business advisors.
My retirement was looming and at the age of 64 – 5 months we
decided that although retiring we knew from our past experiences that
it would not be long before
we would be looking for something else to do.
We decided to move to Spain for a quite life and to get our energy back, my husband
James had a cancer scare and we felt that we had made the right decision, we moved
to a beautiful spot in Andalucia with mountains and plenty of open spaces. Our home
is nestled in a valley, there are only twenty houses, it’s truly
Spanish with not a lot of people around and only two of them English.
Our first job was to learn Spanish, not
an easy task though we are getting there, next what were we going to do with our time.
I had a love for computers and always felt no matter where we lived with a computer
you are always able to keep in touch with the outside world. We decided that I would
do some research on the Internet to see what was available to earn a living working
from home.
I was soon receiving emails from everywhere, my inbox was full and over
spilling “totally losing my focus” we jumped from one program to the
next WITHOUT success - I thought it would be just like the sales pages
said it would be ..... EASY!!!.
We came across a lot of people who told
us that they could make us a lot of money
online in a matter of weeks
“not to be believed”
Then wham the exchange rate hit
rock bottom and immediately we lost a third of our income, food, rent,
rates all started to increase. The light went on, stop messing
around and get moving so putting on my old business advisors hat we started with
the basics just as we would when a new start up business came to see us, research, research and more
research. And so my search for earning online began in earnest.
Many of the people who were the supposedly experts in helping people make money
online were really nothing more than individuals trying to scam people like me out of
my money.
You may well ask, but how are you doing Rosalie? The light at the end of the
tunnel is getting brighter and we are well on our way to achieving our goal.
I’m not going to kid you that it’s easy and that you will be a millionaire over night.
As with any work at home job or internet home business you will have to work at it.
